How It Works

1. Extrude your bulb using the large or small bulb disc in your chosen color
2. Switch to the matching base disc and extrude the base in a contrasting color — silver, gold, or whatever fits your palette
3. Stack the base onto the bulb and embed into your cold process loaf
4. Slice to reveal your holiday lights in every bar

Here's how much soap dough you'll need per inch for each piece:

• Large bulb: ~6g per inch
• Large base: ~2.2g per inch
• Small bulb: ~4g per inch
• Small base: ~1.6g per inch
• Large bulb + base combined: ~8.2g per inch
• Small bulb + base combined: ~5.6g per inch
• All 4 pieces combined: ~13.8g per inch

For a standard 10" loaf using all 4 pieces: ~138g of soap dough total.

💡 Pro tip: extrude each bulb in a different holiday color — red, green, blue, yellow — and use the same silver or gold for all the bases to tie the whole string together! 🎄

Why the Extruder Disc Beats a Column Mold

A static light bulb column mold gives you one color, every time — and the base and bulb would be the same color by default. This 4-disc system lets you extrude the bulb and base separately so they can be completely different colors, just like real holiday lights. 🧼

Care

Hand wash all 4 discs with dish soap and water. Avoid soaking for long periods and air dry fully before storing. 🧽
