Custom Soap Mat Design & Digital Engineering (Step 1 of 2)

How the 2-Part Process Works:

1. Purchase This Design Fee: This is your upfront, non-refundable deposit. It covers the professional labor of translating your vision into a precision-tooled digital file.

2. Consultation:  After purchase, email your logo or sketch to Hello@JamleyLaneSoaps.com. High-contrast line art (PNG/SVG/PDF) works best! I will rebuild your art, confirm your measurements, and ensure the design is engineered for a perfect soap release.

3. The Mat Build (Step 2):  Once you approve the digital proof, I will send you a private link to purchase your physical mat.

Production Timeline

Because of the bespoke design process and high studio demand, it may take up to 10 business days to receive your design for approval. Once Step 2 (the mat purchase) is complete, your tool will ship within 2–3 business days.

Artwork Requirements & The "Sharpie Rule"

Specifications: Creating a custom impression mat requires a specific type of digital architecture. I translate your vision into a textured map of raised and recessed lines. To ensure a perfect "pop" and flawless detail, please follow these guidelines:

• Think Black & White: I cannot translate colors, shading, or gradients. Your design must be clear line art.

• The Sharpie Marker Rule: If you can’t draw your design with a Standard Sharpie Marker, it is likely too detailed for a soap mat. Lines that are too thin will not show up in soap or may break during unmolding. I may thicken certain elements to ensure your design actually works in a real soaping environment.

Why the 2-Part Process?

• International Advantage: International makers only pay import taxes on the physical mat (Step 2). Since this design fee is a digital service, it is not subject to import duties!

• Fair Pricing: This process ensures you only pay for the specific design labor your project requires.

Which Tier Should I Choose?

• Tier 1: Basic (Text/Simple): Standard serif-type fonts or basic geometric shapes.

  • Use this if I am simply typing your brand name or a single word using a simple serif style font from my professional font library.

    • Examples: "Lavender Moon Soaps" in Arial with a single heart/star shape.

• Tier 2: Standard (Logo/Vector): Existing high-resolution digital logos (SVG/AI/PNG).

  • Use this if you already have a professional, high-resolution digital logo (SVG, AI, or high-res PNG).

    • Examples: A clean brand logo that just needs to be architected to fit your mold measurements. Can be a single item or repeating pattern

• Tier 3: Complex (Reconstruction): Use this for hand-drawn sketches, intricate patterns, or blurry images. This covers hours of manual digital reconstruction where I rebuild your artwork line-by-line to ensure it is deep enough to follow my "Sharpie Rule" and release cleanly from the soap.
