How It Works

This is a two-step system designed to work together for maximum detail and color flexibility:

1. Extrude your shapes — Use the single hen disc, laying hen disc, and nest disc separately with your Jamley Lane XL Soap Dough Extruder in your choice of soap dough colors — mix and match for a realistic farmyard look or go bold and colorful
2. Add the detail — Press the detail stamp onto your hen while still pliable to add feet, feathers, and that crisp outline that makes her look completely lifelike

• Detail Stamp (~1½" x 1⅜") — Adds feet, feathers, and outline detail
• Disc size: 58mm — fits the Jamley Lane XL Soap Dough Extruder (sold separately)
• Material: Artisan polymer (chemical-resistant, heat-treated)
• Compatible with: Soap dough and cold process soap only

Discs and stamp are also available to purchase individually if you already own one piece of the set.

Plan Your Soap Dough

Here's what to prep for each piece — mix colors for the most realistic farmyard look:

• Single Hen: ~12g per inch (~120g for a standard 10" loaf)
• Laying Hen: ~11.4g per inch (~114g for a standard 10" loaf)
• Nest: ~8.8g per inch (~88g for a standard 10" loaf)
• Combined total (all three): ~32.2g per inch (~322g for a standard 10" loaf)

Soap dough estimates are approximate — we recommend preparing a little extra to account for barrel waste and any variation in your specific recipe.

Unlike column molds that lock you into one fixed length, the XL Extruder Disc lets you create exactly as much as your project needs — a single accent embed, a half loaf, or an entire 10" production run. Perfectly centered, identical results in every slice. A total game changer for high-volume makers and wholesale orders.

Using the Stamp

While your extruded hen is still slightly pliable, lightly mist the detail stamp with 99% isopropyl alcohol, center it carefully on the hen, and press firmly and evenly by hand. Gently rock and lift to release. Work quickly — soap dough firms up fast!

Care

Clean all pieces with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft brush after each use. Do not soak. Dry immediately and store in a cool, dry place.
