How It Works

1. Extrude each koala piece separately using the 10 discs — note that the ear disc gets used twice to give you both ears
2. Assemble your koala by layering the pieces together: body, head, ears (×2), arms, legs, claws, nose, and eucalyptus branch and leaves
3. Embed your assembled koala into your cold process loaf
4. Slice to reveal your koala in every bar

Plan Your Soap Dough

Here's how much soap dough you'll need per inch of assembled koala, broken out by color:

• Grey (body, head, ears, limbs): ~33g per inch
• White (inner ears, belly): ~5g per inch
• Green (eucalyptus branch and leaves): ~15g per inch
• Combined total: ~53g per inch

For a standard 10" loaf: ~530g of soap dough total (~330g grey + ~50g white + ~150g green).

💡 Pro tip: this is a great set to use up smaller amounts of soap dough from previous batches — the white and green portions are small enough that leftover dough works perfectly! 🎨

Why the Extruder Disc Beats a Column Mold

A static koala column mold would give you one color, one shape, every single time — and a multi-color koala would require multiple separate pours and a lot of patience. This disc system lets you extrude each piece in its own color and assemble exactly the koala you want, without any of the column mold headaches. 🧼

Care

Hand wash all 10 discs with dish soap and water. Avoid soaking for long periods and air dry fully before storing. 🧽
