How It Works

1. Load your soap dough into the Jamley Lane XL Extruder fitted with your chosen moth disc and extrude your moth silhouette log
2. Embed into your cold process loaf
3. Once your loaf is cut into bars, finish each bar by pressing the matching detail stamp onto the surface to add the wing patterns and body markings

Plan Your Soap Dough

Here's how much soap dough you'll need per inch for each moth:

• Classic moth: ~5.5g per inch
• Luna moth: ~5.1g per inch
• Large decorative moth: ~5.1g per inch
• Sphinx moth: ~8.6g per inch

💡 Pro tip: the sphinx moth's wide wingspan makes a stunning centerpiece embed — try pairing it with one or two smaller moths scattered around it for a full garden scene! 🌿

Using the Stamps

Press each matching stamp onto your cut, unmolded bars to add the wing detail and body markings. The luna moth stamp includes the tail extension details that don't appear in the disc silhouette — so the finished bar will look more complete than the embed alone. 🌙

Why the Extruder Disc Beats a Column Mold

A static moth column mold gives you one shape, one color, every time. This disc system lets you extrude each moth in any color — dusty lavender, cream, sage, charcoal — and the detail stamp does the rest. Your moths, your palette. 🧼

Hand wash all pieces with dish soap and water. Avoid soaking for long periods and air dry fully before storing. 🧽
