Built for Daily Use

These dishes are made from rigid PLA (polylactic acid), a durable thermoplastic engineered from renewable plant-based resources. The material is tough, chip-resistant, and sealed with a lacquer finish for water resistance. Whether you're using these personally or selling them to your customers, they hold up to daily moisture and wear without degrading.
 
For Cold Process & Melt & Pour makers: These work beautifully. The sealed edges and drainage design make them ideal for displaying finished bars in retail or gifting to customers.
 

Sustainability & Material Details

PLA is industrially compostable, making it a more sustainable choice than petroleum-based plastics. Here's what that means: At the end of its lifecycle, your dish can be composted in a commercial composting facility (2-3 years under industrial conditions). It won't break down in a home compost bin or landfill, but when disposed of properly, it returns to the earth without leaving microplastics behind.
 
The lacquer seal: Protects against water absorption and extends durability. Avoid prolonged soaking or leaving standing water—over time, moisture can compromise the seal.

Care & Longevity

Cleaning:
A soft-bristled brush and warm dish soap keep these looking pristine. Remove and rinse the insert regularly to prevent residue buildup between the pieces. Hand wash only—no dishwasher.
 
Temperature:
While PLA is durable, it's not heat-tolerant. Do not expose to temperatures above 140°F. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources, as this can cause warping or discoloration.
 
Storage & Shipping:
These are durable enough for retail display, gift sets, or wholesale packaging. No special storage needed.
